Creating Your Space (CYS), a provider of custom websites for both flooring retailers and kitchen and bath retailers, has introduced Design Your Room, a tool enabling online shoppers to preview flooring and virtually design with product selections on their own floor before making a purchase. An online shopper takes a digital picture of a room in their home showing as much flooring as possible and uses a CYS retailer's website to submit the image, along with their registration information. Within 24 to 48 hours, they can access their room online and then virtually insert products from the CYS dealer's product catalog into the space.

CYS says the new tool is beneficial for both the customers and the retailer. "Our website administration tool provides us the consumer's name, contact information, the room they want to remodel and the products they are interested in," said CYS dealer Ike Gulesserian of Carpeteria. "Leads don't get more qualified than that."

The tool is currently being featured in a promotion with the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) and Good Housekeeping magazine on WFCA.org.
